Space Shuttle Discovery Finally Launched to ISS

Space shuttle Discovery finally launched toward the International Space Station (ISS), Friday (28/8/2009) before midnight Florida time. Discovery is carrying seven astronauts was launched after the previous canceled twice because of weather and technical problems.

In this release, as usual, the light from the rocket thrusters lit the night sky plane, and the trail looked up for miles. Discovery carrying supplies to the space station, including equipment to maintain fitness treadmills astronauts. The aircraft are coated ceramic heat barrier that will arrive at the ISS, Sunday night.
