Research In Motion (RIM) officially launched the BlackBerry Messenger 5.0, the latest version of instant messenger applications that have antarpengguna BlackBerry user interface and new features. The following new features BlackBerry Messenger 5.0:

New Group Functionality: You can easily create or join a group to stay connected and share experiences in real-time. You can also chat and share location updates, address, calendar, photos, lists and more. One group can accommodate as many as 30 members.

Bar-code Identity: Automatically invite new contacts to join the BlackBerry Messenger contact list you by scanning special barcodes on the screen BlackBerry Messenger on BlackBerry smartphones. for example you scan a barcode using the camera's identity on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Avatar: The user can adjust the display image as their personal avatar, which automatically appear on their contact. BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 also collect avatars of the existing contact in the BlackBerry contact

Large File Transfer: With the BlackBerry Messenger 5.0, users can share large media files up to size 6 MB, including high-resolution images and voice notes longer.
